Education: Mr. Bardavid received his law degree in 2004 from Southwestern University School of Law. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from California State University, Northridge in 2001 with a major in Business Administration, Option in Business Law (dean’s list). While in law school, Mr. Bardavid authored for publication, La Sentencia De Los Militares: A Look at Venezuela’s Supreme Court Ruling That Made a Coup Legal; and he edited for publication, A Whale of a Tale: NRDC v. U.S. Navy and the Attempt to Exempt the Exclusive Economic Zone from the National Environment Policy Act. He was a member of the Law Journal Honors Program and served as a judicial extern in the Los Angeles Superior Court Family Law Division.
Mr. Bardavid, a native of Uruguay, is fluent in Spanish. He founded his own firm in 2004 and has been practicing family law since that time. He served as a volunteer for the Domestic Violence Project via the Los Angeles Superior Court and remains active in community-based public interest projects.
